La mia storia:
Ciao, grazie per aver visitato il mio sito web. Il mio nome è Filippo. Sono nato a Catania nel settembre del 1966. Mi sono sposato nell'anno 1989 con mia moglie Patrizia. Ho 3 figli: Irene, Carmelo ed Erika .
Da tempo sono appassionato dal mondo radioantistico , da piccolo vedevo mio fratello più grande che insieme ai loro amici parlavano tramite una “scatola“ strana . Era il famoso CB. Chiedevo di tanto in tanto di farmi provare. Poi crescendo mi sono fatto la mia stazione . Mi chiamavo Barracuda . Da li iniziarono i primi dx. Poi nell' Aprile del 1986 presto servizio militare in base aeronautica con mansione di autista addetto al rifornimento velivoli.  Per servizio , iniziai ad usare i primi apparati vhf, sia portatili che veicolari, per comunicare con il centro radio e con la torre di controllo quando dovevo attraversare la pista . La cosa mi entusiasmò ancora più . Cosi finito il militare, il 1° Aprile del 1987, ritornai a fare attività radio in CB . Dopo un paio di anni conobbi dei radioamatori . Iniziai ad ascoltare i primi qso “tranquilli “ dei radioamatori . Persone che, mentre parlavano, pronunciavano strane sigle ( IW9 IT9... ) e non il solito Barracuda , o altro . Cosi chiedendo sempre più informazioni ho presentato la domanda per fare gli esami per OM . Esami che ho sostenuto il 27 dicembre 1994 .Nel gennaio 1996 arriva la patente radioamatoriale e, nel Settembre 1996 arriva pure la licenza.
Da li parte l'avventura di IW9FRB in vhf uhf .
Nel mese di Agosto del 2005 ho iniziato a trasmettere nelle bande hf + 6 metri . Da allora passo il mio tempo libero che rimane dal resto delle mie priorità e da i miei impegni di marito , padre , e di libero professionista, a cercare di collegare persone sia in modo ssb ( fonia ) che in modo digitale ed in modo particolare nella modalità rtty .
